Andreas Martin-Löf Architects

Chevron floor, 202 Norr Mälarstrand
Along Riddarfjärden, in a building from 1936, architect Andreas Martin-Löf has designed two floors consisting of a private apartment and the office for his own architecture firm.
Here, Andreas has recreated functional details and played with modern material choices. He found inspiration in the original architecture, including by selecting stone and wood details based on what he discovered throughout the building.
To preserve the original atmosphere, Andreas chose a chevron floor made of solid oak, with a surface treatment that matched and recreated his inspiration from an old window found in the basement.
